First Look: Clayton Kershaw Replica Cy Young Award

Well, it's not a bobblehead, but we are getting our first look at the Clayton Kershaw replica Cy Young Award plaque. Presented by Stub Hub!, this plaque will be given away to the first 30,000 fans in attendance when the Dodgers play the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday, April 11.

Speaking of the Cy Young Award, Clayton was in New York City this weekend to accept the real plaque at the Baseball Writers' Association of America's annual dinner. He was also there to promote his new book "Arise" and he even got to tour the New York Stock Exchange Friday morning.

  5. Nice! I imagine it will be the same quality and size as the Lasorda HOF plaque that was given away a few seasons ago.

Is this a confirm 50k giveaway? I have 30k written on my schedule which I got off the Dodgers promotion schedule webpage.

    1. Good catch! I just fixed it up top. I think you're right, it will be the same size as the Lasorda plaque.

  6. I guess it's around that time of the year where everyone starts announcing their promotional giveaways.

I've been checking the California league, and only the 66ers and the Bakersfield Blaze have announced their promo schedules. 66ers is not quite as good as last year, but still better than what the Quakes normally give out (which is normally next to nothing). 66ers have 4 bobbleheads, the two Angels stadium giveaway bobbleheads (Pujols is one of them), another Felix Hernandez bobblehead (not sure why they keep giving Mariners bobbleheads to Angels fans), and a 66ers mascot belly bobble. Bakersfield has a really good list that Dodgers fans in specific will love. 5 bobbleheads, 3 which include former Dodgers players. They will give out a Don Drysdale bobblehead, a Hideo Nomo bobblehead, a George Culver bobblehead, a Josh Hamilton bobblehad, and a Cincinatti Reds bobblehead.

I wish Bakersfield was Rancho. We'll be lucky if the Quakes giveaway more than 1 bobblehead, which they'll all be Dodgers stadium bobbleheads.
