Daughter Of Dodgers Scout Killed In Arizona Shooting

What happened in Arizona yesterday was very tragic. Innocent people were killed, people were hurt, and lives were changed forever.

One of those killed yesterday was a 9-year-old girl named Christina Taylor Green. Her father is a scout in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.

Dodgers owner Frank McCourt issued a statement today:
"We lost a member of the Dodgers family today. The entire Dodgers organization is mourning the death of John's daughter Christina, and will do everything we can to support John, his wife Roxana and their son Dallas in the aftermath of this senseless tragedy."

Christina was also born on September 11, 2001. She had been featured in the book, "Faces of Hope, Babies Born on 9/11" about children born on the day of the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history.

Flags in Arizona fly at half-staff today, including those at Camelback Ranch, the Dodgers' Spring Training facility in Glendale.

  2. It's a terrible situation. As a parent, I hope I never experience anything like that.
