Manny Ramirez has been in Chicago since Monday, but his giant 2009 Topps banner is still on Ventura Blvd in Encino. The banner, which is on the side of a medical building, has been up since 2009.
It's a sad reminder that the "Mannywood" era is over. I wonder how long it will stay up.

Tear down the wall!
Time to get the giant eraser and rub that thing off. You guys should be allowed to have a tomato throwing contest or something first.
To be honest, I loved the Mannywood era in LA, but I have to drive by that thing all the time. It needs to go.ReplyDelete
They did take the one down on Figueroa a while back.ReplyDelete
Greg, really? Do you know if there are any others in the area?ReplyDelete
Haven't seen any, but the Figueroa one is right on my way to the park, saw it last on Broxton Bobble night.ReplyDelete
Greg- Not sure why one is still up and the other one is down. Roberto is checking on that for me. He's got good sources of Dodger info.ReplyDelete
That he does. Granted, I'd still rather see a Manny poster than a Podsednik or Theriot one.ReplyDelete
