Matt Kemp On The Ellen Degeneres Show

Matt Kemp made an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show today. He was there to show his support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Ellen had one of Matt's fans sit on a dunk tank, as he threw pitches trying to knock her in the water. If he did dunk her, $10,000 would be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, plus Matt would match that $10,000 as well. Watch the video below to see if Matt throws a strike or not.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to everyone.

Go to bat against breast cancer. Once again, Major League Baseball teams up with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest breast cancer organization, on this Mother's Day to help raise awareness of the disease and raise funding for treatment and the pursuit of a cure, with hundreds of Major Leaguers using pink bats produced by Louisville Slugger and stamped with the MLB breast cancer logo. Many players will also wear pink wristbands and the symbolic pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness on their uniforms, as will all on-field personnel.

You also can buy one of those 2010 pink bats right now from the MLB.com Shop and help the fight against breast cancer in the process. They are going for $79.99, and $10 of each sale goes to Komen. The bats are the same model many players will use on Sunday.

This is a great cause. Nice to see MLB doing their part.

Oh yeah, happy Mother's Day to my mom and wife and all the mother's in my life.
