I'm Not Jumping On The Texas Rangers Bandwagon, I Just Want The San Francisco Giants To Lose

I hate the Giants. I've hated the Giants for as long as I can remember. Seeing the Giants in the World Series sickens me. I will now cheer for the Rangers. No, I'm not jumping on the Rangers bandwagon. I'm simply a Dodger fan who doesn't want the Giants to win. Is that wrong?

  2. I'm sure it started in NY and moved west. Something that started a long time ago and continues to this day. It's a tradition of hate, like the Yanks and Sox.

But now NoCal and SoCal hate each other. It really is two different states. I think geography has a lot to do with it.

  3. It is never wrong to hate the Giants.

Personally, I think the Giants and their fans brought it on themselves. It used to be that the Dodgers and their fans didn't care what the Giants and their fans thought of them. The Giants? Who are they? Have they won anything? No? Then who cares?

But when the Giants kept right on hating my team, then I said, "Fine. You're starting to get on my nerves. I'll go ahead and hate you back." So that's what you get from me now, a big bowl of hate.

    I HATE THE GIANTS!

    Satisfied?

    Go Rangers!!!!!

  5. I think it is like the Yankees and Sox. The Giants are the Dodgers #1 Rival. Its that simple. I love the City of SF such a great city to visit and they have a real nice ballpark up there would love to go to a LA V SF game up there one day. It would probably be fun. But I am a Dodger fans. GO Rangers

  6. Yeah, I'm rooting for the Rangers for many reasons. The team chemistry they have is nice to watch. But the main reason is, I can't see myself being a hardcore Dodger fan rooting for the giants.

My grandpa who raised me to be a Dodgers fan. The man who has been a Dodgers fan since their days in good old Brooklyn wants the giants to win?!!? He told me that he has always rooted for the National league team. Especially if that team is in the West division. I told grandpa, I'm disappointed in you but I'll accept your reasoning.

I told him, I'm sorry as the Dodger fan you raised me to be I can't I just can't and will not root for the giants.

  7. I'm rooting for the Rangers because I can't fathom rooting for the team that just dismantled the Phillies. And I hope Cliff Lee presents Pat Burrell with a nice bow tie in his first at-bat.

  8. Bruce - I agree. I've never been to a game up there, but I would love to one of these days.

Jessica - This Rangers team is speacial, it is real nice watching them play.

That's your grandpa, just respect whatever he likes! I have a couple of friends who always root for the team from California, I don't get it. I can't see myself rooting for the Giants. I just can't. I don't care if they're from CA.

Jim - Agreed. I can't root for the team that beat my team. LOL on Cliff Lee. Phillies fans are nuts. He really heard it when he came back to Philly.

  9. Of course, I still respect him always. Him and I were just talking. He understood my reasoning and just smiled. I think he was proud. I told I respected him for always sticking to the National league and the west.

He was saying that he's glad it's both teams from the Western Division in the World Series. Because he feels that the West doesn't get enough love.

  10. Exactly what Night Owl said. I was going to type more, but I think it will be difficult to do so coherently with my current state of rage.

  13. Play at the Plate - I'm actually enjoying watching this Rangers team play. I'm a huge Vladdy fan. Neftali Feliz is becoming one of my favorite pitchers.
