2008 Upper Deck Masterpieces Stroke of Genius James Loney Autograph

Earlier this week I mentioned there were some James Loney trade rumors going around. According to the LA Times' Kevin Baxter, James Loney is all but certain to return at first base for the Dodgers in 2011. Who knows what'll happen between now and the start of the season? We'll just have to wait and see.

For now, I'd like to show my James Loney autograph. This is a 2008 Upper Deck Masterpieces Stroke of Genius Auto, SG-JA. This is one of my favorite autograph cards. The painting-on-canvas, inside-a-frame look is pretty nice.

I don't know if James Loney will be part on the Dodgers in 2011. For now he remains part of my Dodgers autograph collection.

  1. Oh thanks man.

BTW, the Dodger Dream Field event was postponed tomorrow because of the rain.

  2. I love these Stroke of Genius cards. I've heard many collectors complain about them. I think because they are not as highly sought after as some of the other UD cards like Exquisite and Ultimate, thus driving down prices. But really, I think these are some of the best looking on card auto's anyone can buy. The painting/framed design is really awesome. I've picked up a couple of these for my collection, and they seemed like all steals. This is def one of the more underrated products of the decade.

  3. Charles - I completely agree. I've got some more of these that I'll post.

  4. I've never seen those cards before. That one is awfully nice. Loney's signature could use some work, though. ;)

Dustin - I think they're very nice. As Charles pointed out, they're underrated.

    Loney's signature is very unique.
