25 Years Ago Today

Twenty-Five years ago today, Vin Scully made one of the most famous, or infamous calls in World Series history:

"So the winning run is at second base, with two outs, three and two to Mookie Wilson. A little roller up along first... behind the bag! It gets through Buckner! Here comes Knight, and the Mets win it!"
I can listen to Vinny anytime, it's like music to my ears. This call always gives me goosebumps though.

  1. Buckner... well, 25 years later he caught the baby (Curb your Enthusiasm). And the BoSox won twice since then. So, it's all good now :)
Thanks for the video, nice to see and hear it.

  2. Dutch - I had no idea what you were talking about, so I looked it up. That scene with Buckner and Susie is hilarious! I've seen every episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm until Season 8. We cancelled HBO last year. I'll have to wait for BluRay to see the entire season.
