The Lakers won tonight. Can they go 82-0? I dunno about that, but I do see another championship parade down Figueroa in June. Go Purple and Gold!
Back to the boys in blue. Here are a couple of Dodger links:
Tim Wallach is out of the running for the Milwaukee Brewers managerial job. Wallach was notified by the Brewers on Monday. It looks like he'll be Don Mattingly's third base coach.
Blue Heaven shows us some 1955 Dodger World Series pictures that had never been seen before. From Life Magazine, you can see all 27 pictures here.
What do most players do when the season ends? Most guys take a vacation. For two Dodger pitchers,Kenley Jansen and Carlos Monasterios, the training continues. Jansen and Monasterios continue to pitch at Camelback Ranch in Gledale, Arizona in the organization's instructional league.
Mike at the LFP.com is making a set of retired numbers for someone's man cave. It's a cool looking man cave full of Dodger goodies, including a nice line-up of bobbleheads.
And in Manny Ramirez news, the former Dodger says he'd like to play for new Blue Jays manager John Farrell. Manny and Farrell were teammates with the Indians in the 1990s. Farrell was hired as the Red Sox's pitching coach in 2007, Ramirez's last season in Boston. Could Mannywood be headed to the Great White North?

Tim Wallach Joins Dodgers Coaching Staff?
According to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times, Tim Wallach has signed a contract to be on the Dodgers coaching staff in 2011. Although Ken Gurnick at MLB.com is reporting that he was only verbally promised a role on the Dodgers' coaching staff, and will join the team if he doesn't land a Major League managing job.
Wallach's role on the staff has not been determined, but he's likely to be third base coach or batting coach. Wallach was the Dodgers batting coach in 2004 and 2005, and became the Albuquerque Isotopes manager in 2009.
OK, so they don't hire Wallach to manage the team, but they give him a job coaching. Fine. I, like a lot of Dodger fans, wanted Wallach to be the next manager. He has the managerial experience and would have been the right hire for the position. I guess this is the next best thing.
This seems like a consolation prize for the man who deserved to win the gig. And it feels like an insurance move for the Dodgers. If Don Mattingly fails, at least they have the right guy sitting on the bench to take his place.

Dodgers News And Notes
Another Dodger loss. The offense was non-existent again. At this point, does it really matter? Time to start thinking about 2011.
Speaking of 2011, could Tim Wallach, manager of the Dodgers' AAA afiliate Albuquerque Isotopes, be the Dodgers' manager next year? According to Baseball America, Wallach is the Pacific Coast League's best managerial prospect.
After 16 years in the minors, John Lindsey has finally made it to the majors. The Isotopes first baseman was called up today along with third baseman Russ Mitchell, who is also making his major league debut, Chin Lung Hu, and pitchers Jon Link and John Ely.
So who pitches batting practice for the Dodgers? Pete Bonfils is his name, and he's been doing it for almost 30 years. Who knew?
Have the Dodgers trademarked the phrase "Los Doyers"? After spotting Los Doyers shirts in the Dodger Team Store, Roberto from Vin Scully Is My Homeboy asked that same question. He found out that they had trademarked the phrase on August 18.
